I've got yeti fever!

Here's a post all about the yeti!
Also known as "the abominable snowman", "bigfoot", "Snow man" or "man-beast". Spotted more recently in Mount Everest, multiple times in the late 20th century, early 21st century... and even more recently..... ON MY FACE.Yep. Totally made Yeti earrings. I'm mega in love with them, too. And I don't usually wear weird earrings like that, but now I think im gonna make a whole wooorld of monster earrings. I made four pairs of these.. one for me... and three for my shop!

Only problem is... they're very demanding. But they'll protect your ears and neck through all sorts of early and neckly danger! vampires, hickeys, ear infections... that kinda stuff. :B

AND I MADE KEYCHAINS!!! YEAH!

And the yeti pillow! For totally sleepin on. About 11 x 10, handsewn!

And this isn't the last of the yetis! MORE TO COME. :D

They're all so much different from eachother, it's hard to choose a favorite. Probably Ako or Dip. I had spookydaddy ask to do a trade for Dip, and I really wanted to, because his Skull Bunnies are so rad, but I had to decline. I gotta save my money for awhile. =(

It's hard to find good faux fur anywhere, in sweet colors. The white fur on Bip I got at Joanns, and Ako is an old stuffed duck that I ripped apart, hahah.
But I did find these two sites that have really good faux fur in so many colors! It's a bit pricey, but they let you buy it by the 1/2 yard too, so it's not so bad.

www.mendels.com

i dont remember exactly what they were, but i think im right. let me know if those links are wrong, haha.

until next time! ;D

Man, I really haven't been keeping up with this thing.
I finally figured everything out last night, made it look all pretty, and now i tink I'll actually start updating some things.

Got some commissions to work on because I got featured on the CRAFT ZINE BLOG twice in one week! Totally nuts.

Definitely will be uploading some new stuff tonight.

But, for now.. I leave you with monster/yeti keychains. :D

till later!

CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS

Bananacat, Tigerton Kittlesworth & Bluregard Kittington

Basically everyone loves cats. Even if you're allergic, you secretly love them through your hate for them.
I came up with this pattern for the cats awhile ago, the little blue one being the first one I made. I enjoyed making them so much, that I just made a ton! I never perfectly follow a pattern, everythings freehanded, so they all come out different shaped, and I like that about them. I tried to give each one their own personality, too.Ivory von Kittlesworth. Made this for a trade with lovemonkeymonster. :B

Pasie Pink, Benedict the Black, and Willow the White.
These three cats went off to Ello Gallery & shop in Portsmouth, NH! I especially love the last one, Willow the white, because she reminds me of Beetlejuice, one of my favorite movies. :D :D

HEY

oops, I kind of forgot about this thing completely.

Finals week kicked my ass. I had a lot of homework/projects to finish, custom orders to make, Christmas presents to make, my head nearly exploded.

I still have a lot of Christmas presents to make.. but... I've got four days! hah

oh yes. bunnies.

These guys are called Drizzles! Basically everyone ever loves ice cream.
I made them in a lot of flavors. And I keep making more flavors 'cause they're just so damn CUTE.

& Some other bunnies I made...

This is Milton Mittons. His mittens and little outfits are removable! He's on sale at the Kismet Gallery in Troy, NY!

This is Ralph. He hates his pink polka dot bunny suit.

Hope everyone has a sweet holiday!

I <3 BEARS.

Okay, well some of these are pretty old, but since I haven't posted any pictures of anything in here yet, I might as well start with my super cute BEARS!

I give everything I make a name, because... well I like to name them, but also because it makes them seem more human-ish, even if they are only bits of felt and fabric.

Onto the photos! This is actually my first plushie ever! I made him after a little character I used to doodle on all my notes in high school, called Teef. I renamed him as Duke when I made a new plushie that the name Teef fit a lot better to.

This is Bipolar Bear. Offensive to some, hilarious to many! He was the biggest plushie I had made at the time.

My rapper bears, Run PMC & Notorious B.E.A.R. They love chillin' out max n relaxin' all cool. I've already sold 3 Notorious B.E.A.R.'s! Too awesome. The original Run PMC went to the Rusty Matcutter & Muse's Gallery in Glen Falls, NY.

This is Simon Snowday & Holly Holiday. I had made them to enter in the 2007 Holiday Softie Awards. To my hyperventilating excitement they BOTH got in the top five in their categories! Sadly, they didn't win, but I was happy enough for them just to be in the top five!

This is Pawesome. She's humongous. She's also in the Rusty Matcutter & Muse's gallery. I love her.

This is Sabrina Star. I made her for a toy show at the Kismet Gallery in Troy, NY. She's sold, sorry guys!!

I'll be updating soon again with all my BUNNIES. :D

First post woo!

Yeah so I decided to get myself a blog. Oh what a lemming am I! Oh well. These things seem like fun.

so hey! whats up guys, I'm Chelsea, also known on a buncha sites as loveandasandwich.
If you like what you see on any of my posts, you can usually buy it at my etsy shop!

I like what a lot of crafty people do on this site, with featuring artists they like & things like that. I think I'd like to do the same.

I make custom stuffed animals from my imagination usually, I also like to draw but I get bored of that very easily.

I'm currently selling my plushies at the Kismet Gallery in Troy, NY and the Rusty Mattcutter & Muse's Gallery in Glen Falls, NY.
Soon to be selling them also at the Ello Gallery & Shop in Portsmouth, NH!

I'll put up some pictures soon, once I have pictures of the really recent stuff uploaded.
